Graphic elements and generic codes

         Graphic elements are the main parts of the magazine cover that make up its profile. These are the font(serif/sans), colour scheme, masthead, main image, main cover line, barcode, skyline, price and date etc. these are the features of the cover that make it stand out and show that it is able for marketing.
         Sizes of text and images for significance of images, stories and celebrities to emphasize purpose or genre. Generic codes are colours or a system of codes to convey a constant intention. For example the colour code Red would indicate danger, recklessness on a rock magazine to show that it's not passive.
